The students are systematically taught the main 42 sounds used in English in the following groups of six sounds:

These worksheets are designed to introduce, reinforce and revise the 42 basic sounds of English. They will help the students to form the new sound shapes correctly, to pick out the sound from among others and to use it with sounds previously learnt to form words. The worksheets also give specific practice at blending sounds together to make words.

Plenty of revision sheets are provided which can also be used as homework sheets or for those students who  may need extra practice.

Lists of words are provided to demonstrate which words can be formed by all of the sounds treated.

Pages are also provided which can be cut out and stapled together to make readers which can be used in the classroom or taken home to practice with parents. These reading pages will help the students to read simple sentences using the words they have learned to blend.

Teaching ideas are also provided which give suggestions of other activities to help introduce and reinforce the sound being treated. These ideas are fun and interesting activities which will help the student remember the sound being introduced.

This early, intensive, systematic phonics program will provide students with the skills they need to read and write fluently.
