Art in the Sun covers a rich and diverse range of Australian Art, from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and early settler landscapes through to living, working artists of the 21st century.

Each unit focuses on one famous Australian artist. There are biographical details, the reproduction of a well-known canvas and a step-by-step guide for creating artworks inspired by that major work. Several other paintings from the artist are discussed, along with further creative art ideas. Ther are also display suggestions.
